Mornin Yall!
My zone leader is from Texas so ive been using that a ton recently. We were talking about this last Friday but the farther along you get in the mission the faster it goes. the biggest highlights of the week are Monday, Friday, and Sunday. I feel like this last week just flew by. Theres only 1 week left in this transfer and I might lose my dearest E. Gale!
The baptism didn't happen this week :( Anabelle has been super busy with life. Between working nights, raising 2 kids, kids starting school, and her starting a new semester of college. Things are hectic. Weve tried so hard to keep in contact but shes always just running from one thing to the next. Were worried we might have to drop her until she has more time.
On the brighter side This week while we were walking on the street we bumped into a woman named Teresa. She was carrying 2 bags so we offered to help her. Turns out shes a mother of 3 and has 2 great grandkids at the age of 50. She helps take care of a family friend who is 97 years old along side with working to support her family. Way cool to see someone giving such service with so much going on. We talked about it afterwards and she really is the example of "Wasting and wearing out our lives" for the service of others. (Doctrine and Covenents 123: 13-17) Turns out she is active in another church but has been getting up every day at 4am to watch LDS ads on some religion channel. She has family that has met with missionaries before and has seen the Book of Mormon a TON! Before we left the car before that experience I put an English Book Of Mormon in my bag and we prayed that we could find a new investigator. Little did we know those two things would be connected. Well the Lord answered, we did find a new investigator although it wasn't someone we would be teaching. Careful what you pray for!
So it turns out theres a guy in my ward whos pretty big in the Latin music industry. Hes part of the "Reyes de Arranque" group. Which looks like a Mexican boy band haha. I guess that's whats in. He sang us some songs last Monday and hes pretty good! One of my zone leaders is from Colombia and really doesn't like Mexican music but even he was liking it!
That's all from me this week! Love you all!
PS: check out the talk Your Four Minutes, just read that yesterday! SO good!
