It blows my mind how much we actually don't know about people. We have an investigator who is married to a member here in the ward. Shes been trying really hard to help him learn and grown spiritually enough to be baptized. We had a talk with her last week about her husband and told her that there isn't much more we can do to help her husband until he takes the next step to be baptized. Hes been taught everything, hes reading from the Book of Mormon, he even comes to church every week. But he will not make a decision of whether this is right or not. We explained this to her and she laughed a little bit and told us, "I know." She told us she knows that he will be a great help to the ward when he finally makes up his mind, but until then, all we can do is pray he can be humble enough to receive his answer. Either these things are true or not, its as simple as that. She then told us this story:
"Romero Family: Julia and Manuel( the picture you got Yesterday) and their daughter Helen. Helen is currently waiting on a mission call but SOMEONE moved me so we will see next week if Elder Porter emails me where shes going."
she was baptized at 18 in El Salvador. This missionary who baptized her about a year and a half later came back and told her that he wanted to marry her. They dated for awhile and eventually got married. 7 happy years, and 3 kids later, he got another woman pregnant. She was obviously devastated and decided to turn it over to the Lord, it was his problem not hers. So her husband was excommunicated and moved with the kids. She was left single, separated from her kids and in school. She decided to forgive him and count her blessing, she had 3 children whom she loved dearly, and she knew without a doubt that people arent perfect, that is why we have His perfect gospel. She remained active in the church and to this day has such a strong testimony of the church and trust in Heavenly Father. She went a few years as a single woman before Miguel (her current husband) was on vacation in El Salvador from here in LA and he meet her while there. He proposed and brought her here to LA with him and they have been married for about 8 or so years now. She said shes so grateful for how great a man Miguel is and knows he will accept the gospel one day, when hes ready. But until then she is doing the best she can to live the gospel and prepare for the day he is ready to be sealed to her in the House of the Lord.
God truly knows his children way better than we do, despite us thinking we know a thing or two. President Weidman tells us all the time that he knows us even better than our parents do. Because the Lord has shed a fraction of His love for us onto President Weidman to help him guide this mission. Its really just sunk in this week that we Follow God because he knows whats truly is best for us. We trust in His decisions because He can make so much more of us than what we can do alone. Trust In him.

"This is the big man Juan Zaya. you cant see it very well but hes got his throat tube and everything." "Romero Family: Julia and Manuel( the picture you got Yesterday) and their daughter Helen. Helen is currently waiting on a mission call but SOMEONE moved me so we will see next week if Elder Porter emails me where shes going."
