So for skype we have some members that are letting us use their phones so we can skype!! We had plans at another members house but she is going to be out of town turns out. Spanish people celebrate the 24th so absolutely nothing is going on the 25th so people were happy to let us skype that day. Its been rough trying to get plans for skype after the first plan fell through but some members saved the day yesterday. So they said we can come by at 10:30am our time which I believe is 12:30 for you guys. Hope that works out.
I cant believe Madelyn can talk! I cant wait to see her! Does Sam Harper know they are going to NC? He will be too excited about that, haha. My companion is fine. I mean I get mad at him all the time but I think that's mostly because Im moody and stressed and so I think everything he does is annoying. Im willing to bet this will happen with everyone you dont know that you get thrown into living with 24/7. So all is well with that. So to sum it up my companion is.... Im learning patience :)
Its freakin weird to hear that Madeline is leaving already. You're going to have to send me pictures from the farewell. Im way excited for her.
What?! Dad didnt tell me about the TV!! Man how I miss being lazy and watching tv haha. This guy we teach is on disability for PTSD and so he just plays xbox and stuff all day. His tv was $2000. Its suuuuuuper nice and gigantic. But merry christmas to the Wilsons! Good to hear about the primary, other missionaries have been getting those so im excited!!
So last night was a Tongan inner faith devotional is what is was called. It was about 15 different Tongan churches in the area at the stake center. Its was super cool we had a bunch of missionaries passing out Visitors Center cards, talking about the Book of Mormon, and some people sat at a table if you wanted to talk more about the church. It was super weird. Obviously it was in Tongan but the  way they sing hymns is different too. Very cool though. We had a girl try to tell us that her sister in law and her do bible study together and her sister in law uses the Book of Mormon in her studies as well. But she has a hard time accepting the Book of Mormon because it says different stuff than the bible apparently? (lol) I just thought it was weird her sister in law still uses the Book of Mormon after she left the church. She "had to go" so she couldnt tell us how the Book of Mormon contradicts the bible. My advice to people questioning the Book of Mormon, read it. The question will answer itself.
After that we went home and we had to plan for the next day. All the time in spanish we say what the literal translation is in english. For example Instead of saying De nada (no problem) I say the literal translation: of nothing. So My companion was doing this without thinking and was trying to say I believe its my turn to pray. Which in spanish is "Me toca orar" Literal translation and what he said "I believe its touching me to pray" We got a REAL good laugh out of that.
I believe thats its from me this week. Love and miss everyone out there.
-Elder Wilson

P.S. Oh hey I forgot to tell you, This transfer an Elder Foster moved into the district. He said Oh you're from STL? My cousin served there he just ended his mission. So im pretty sure the Elder Foster in the Missouri River ward is the cousin of the Elder Foster in my district. Small world.

Thought you guys would like to see my sleeping conditions haha.  I will send more pics of apartment next week.  This is the clean part.

This was at the Tongan thing. Its hard to see but I was at the back of the gym/overflow, which was full, then there was (at the back of the picture) a full chapel of Tongans. So many! super cool to see all their cultural dress and stuff. Oh and of course we could speak spanish and no one could understand us. Which is always fun.
