Elder Wilson letter 4-21-14

Hello hello hello!

This week has been probably my favorite week of the mission. Weve been so busy and having been getting so much done! We found 4 new people last week, a ton of people are planning on coming to church and best of all Benito is getting baptized this Sunday! Down side, this week coming up is the last week of the transfer and I feel its my turn to leave. Which is kind of disappointing since things are going so well but who knows what will happen. Ill find out next Sunday.

That's so crazy Karson Wilson is already home. I cant believe how fast time is going. I have a 6 month training tomorrow, can you believe its been that long?

Yes! I got the food! ive been trying to contain myself and limiting the food to a snack during personal study or something. Except the nutter butters, I went nuts (get it?) on those. Thank you so much! it was a great pick me up last Friday. Parkers letter was funny too. Sounds like he's doing good. Thanks for all the pictures as well, Jax looks so big! Oh... and the kiddos are getting big too.

Highlight of the week, One of our investigators has been having a really hard time giving up coffee. He's been trying for about a month now but couldn't get over the hump of 3-4 days. He said "Me senti como zombie" when he doesn't drink coffee. They just moved houses and the gas bill wasn't in their name yet so the gas got cut off, which means their water is COLD when they shower. So by some miracle his freezing cold showers have been waking him up enough to get over the hump. We also gave him a blessing yesterday. Which was my first ever blessing in Spanish so I was super nervous. Its actually not a scary as I was expecting because it was like talking, rather than some memorized script in Spanish. It was a really awesome time. We asked how he felt after the blessing and he said he feels like he's woken up, without coffee he felt like he was in a haze and he said he had finally woke up. He was so giddy after the blessing and couldn't stop smiling. It was such a great experience and I'm so glad I got to be there with him.

We also went to the temple this past week. The Los Angeles is soooo beautiful. Everyone needs to take a trip here and visit the temple. This visitors center is super cool as well. Id never been to one before my mission, well except Nauvoo, but that one is nothing compared to Los Angeles.

Last night was my first time leading a lesson in Spanish. Which wasn't really planned. Its crazy how much I didn't do before because I didn't want to say the wrong thing or I didn't want to try to talk to people for fear of not understanding them. But ladies and gentlemen, This bird is leaving the nest! Haha! It really was eye opening to see how much I've learned.

Well that's all from me this week, happy late easter!
