Hello!!
I accidentally read dads email first because I saw a preview of a picture he send. So I ended up reading the whole thing. Its hard to believe that its snowing in some places. Its literally the same here 24/7. Were lucky to get some smog trails in the sky for some variety. But Its convenient to never have to worry about being in the rain or any of that nonsense. My companion has started telling people I'm from Utah already. So that's happening.
I would love to get some letters from them( brothers & sister)! (hint hint) Haha. Oh and there was some mix up with mail so I'm pretty sure the stuff I was supposed to get last Friday got put in the other districts mail so ill have to wait until next week. So life is hard right now as you could imagine!
April 27 will be the first Baptism of my mission! He was supposed to be baptized yesterday but his wife decided she wanted to leave him so that was kind of traumatic. But he is super ready for baptism this time! He's working on things with his wife but will most likely be separating from her. I'm SO excited for him!
I've decided to fully accept the culture. Would you please email me a map of all the Mexican states labeled? I'm sure Google image will supply. We meet people from all parts of Mexico so I've decided to start learning some of them. My companion is really good with it and knows a few of the "what the state is known for" things and it really helps connect with people. Because most of these people still have family in these places and have good memories of the city/town/state.
Not sure if I've told you but a recent investigator was on drugs and committed himself to a rehab center. Elder Broadbent was talking about some of the crazy things we've seen and quoted this man. "A mi, me gusta la crack" which literally means "Well for me, I like crack" He was telling us his drug preferences. Yikes.
That's about all from me for this week. This transfer is almost over and Im most likely getting a new companion. Sad times in LA. Love and miss everyone!!
Elder Wilson
