HELLO EVERYONE!
I seriously cant imagine what having snow would be like. Im too used to LA weather, Mexico really got me acclimated FAST. Which is not a good thing. Its like 65 degrees and Im freezing. The struggle is real here in Los Angles. Whats the situation with the Job that dad was looking at in Kaysville?
My companion has a great grandma that lived in the mission but she recently passed away so we got to attend the memorial service. She was like 94! Her daughter did a life sketch and in it she said that her mom would always say that the times when it was hard to be without her spouse (because he died young) that she felt close to him in the Temple. She seemed like a really hard working and righteous woman. Wish I could've gotten to know my relatives a little better before I left but, asi es la vida. It was a really sweet service.
If possible could you possibly send some snack food? If you have already mailed the package don't worry about it thought. Yes I did get the watch! I really like it! When I got it I put it on and saw that the time was already set to California time I said "Wow, thanks Dad." quietly to myself and my companion thought that was funny so whenever something works out nicely or we something is already done we say "thanks Dad." so... Thanks Dad.
Yesterday we were visiting a woman to give her the sacrament, shes like 90 years old and is so funny! She has a really weird accent so its kind of hard to understand her at times. But shes is so happy to be alive it just makes ya smile. She was super grateful that we were there. she said she always loves each time shes able to take the sacrament. Really humble lady. Haha she was impressed I spoke more Spanish that the last time I saw her because It was awhile back. She said (to my companion) "I used to make him read me the scriptures because his Spanish was so terrible" So that happened. Really cool day though, and I got to bless the water in Spanish.
I believe that's all for this week. I cant believe its Monday already. Time flies. This Wednesday is my 5 month mark in the field. Get nut go crazy. Love you!
