Update from CA 10-13-14

Hello hello!

Transfers again :(. Sad to see Elder Gillman will be leaving me. As much as we didnt want to see this happen we cant say we didnt expect it. We were having a really good time. People always say that as soon as you get comfortable you get transferred. To which my companion made the comment that "[He] can never be happy on the mission because as soon as he starts to enjoy something they move him. That bothered me because its not like were being moved to punish us or even that we should never enjoy what we do. We get moved when we get comfortable because its good for us.We will never grow if we stay in our comfort zone. We get 'interrupted because its moving us from where were we plateau to where we can grow. Make me think of the talk by Gordon B. Hinkley where he talks about how a testimony is like the muscles in your, if you use them, they will grow. If you dont, they diminish.

This week we went on exchanges with the Zone Leaders but it was pretty much them coming into the area to see what we are "doing wrong" because the district (us included) aren't getting our 20 contacts a day that we have been asked to. It  was such a testimony builder that you can say almost anything you want, if you say it with enough love. Likewise you can say the simplest of things with no love included and cause major damage. My problem isnt that I hate the leadership or dont get along with them. I hate how fake and robotic people come when they get put into leadership. For whatever reason people think they need to become the robotic Mr. Missionary. I dont know, I just feel that the mission isnt about learning to be someone your arent but to shape who we are. Which would involve being yourself from the get go. I digress.

As far as spanish goes, This week I successfully learned to say Paragaracutirimicuaro. Which is a City in Jalisco, MX. So thats a thing.

Sorry for the short letter today. Not much new to report :) Love yall!

Elder Wilson
