Buenos Dias a todos!

We got transfer calls last night. I will be staying! Which will be the first time I've stayed in an area for 3 since my first area. My companion is super bummed to move again. But I think that is just because he is so young in the mission. You live and you learn? Elder Gillman is getting transferred too. So Its been an emotional rollercoaster trying to cope will all the change haha.

We have had such amazing weather recently. But it was short lived. We had a super clear week so we planned a trip to the Hollywood sign. And then we wake up and its crazy cloudy. Life is hard here in LA let me tell you about it.

Juan Zaya is supposed to be baptized this weekend. I say supposed to because were still not sure how he can be submerged. So were having deep faith and high expectations this week trying to find a way we can help him be baptized.

Last night we had a fantastic lesson with the cousin of a less active member that we are visiting. He is 22 and drinks a TON. We feel like he really wants to change but he just doesn't know how. And he wants support from him family. Church in the past for him has just been something his mom makes him go to every once in awhile. The mom is "Catholic" and originally didn't want to listen. We talked about how our message is completely centered in Christ to which she told us she didn't believe in Christ. AS A CATHOLIC. This is something that people have said to us on the street a ton and its never made sense to me. Catholics are always the ones who scream at us about how we should only ever read the bible and how we couldn't be the true church because (And I quote) Matt 16:18 Upon this rock I will build my church. Which people take that to mean the Catholic church. But last night I final figured out that people say that they don't believe in Christ because they believe in "God" instead. It was super cool being able to explain who Jesus Christ is to them. At one point she said "Can Jesus Christ really help me and my son? Really sweet experience.

That was probably my favorite of the week. Were meeting a ton of new people and have been swamped trying to see everyone. Everything is going great :)
