Heyo!
So this week was transfers...
My new companion is Elder Porter. Hes from Tremonton Utah. Small world right? He said he has family in Preston. His grandpa lives there I think he said, his name is Rey Porter. Oh and his mom was waiting for a visa for Spain and served 6months in the California Anaheim Mission. Small world. Im not sure what President was thinking putting us together, were both suuuuuper sarcastic and were having too much fun. So sadly it looks like Im getting another new companion next transfer haha.
So I was assigned the Spring/Fall track assignment at BYU-I. Which is literally the one I didn't want. So that's a thing. Elder Gillman was assigned the Fall/Winter. At least we will be able to start together. Seaking of Which I talked to President Weidman and he said the absolute earliest I could leave to school was September 2. Not a guarantee that I will thought, So ill need to talk to him again about schooling. Which is fun because even if that works out that will be like 1 1/2 weeks to get ready for school. Yikes.
So this week we got moved to a new apartment. The missionaries prior to us living here have been on bike so the church has been paying for a parking spot that other people have been using for a loooong time in this underground parking garage. Tuesday when we got here we asked the apartment manager which spot was ours and he told us spot 25. But someone parked in that spot Tuesday night so we parked in 26. We got up the next morning and had a nasty note on our car that said something like this:
"Don't you hate when someone parks in your spot?
I DO TOO!
Call me at ***-***-**** and you better do it quick before the tow truck gets here."
Naturally we were super excited to meet our neighbor at this point. So the next night when someone was in our spot again we had a little dilemma. So we tried parking off the to side of the garage as to not bother our neighbors. We went to go to CVS the next morning and what do you know our car was gone. Our wonderful neighbor did us a favor and moved our car out of his space for us. But instead of leaving it in one of the 20 empty spaces he left it in a repo lot all the way over in Sun Valley. Gotta love it! So lots of time spent sitting in a car as some other elders drove us to the lot and $229.50 later...
We got the car.
We have had quite the week, We haven't been able to do much missionary work but its been a good ole time. Were learning lot of patience! :)
Love and miss you all!!!
Elder Wilson
