Excited letter from CA

To whom it may concern:

I am convinced there is nothing better you can do with your life than serve a mission. That list you gave me is pretty much stuff we do on the daily. So I owe a good 'ole 'thank you' to the Brethren for that one. I swear if I could count the number of times ive been told to maintain missionary habits after the mission. To learn on your mission that thing things we do (although full time) are aspects that we need in our daily life. (PS: please go watch the Mormon Message Daily Bread) I fight thoughts on the daily of how much I look forward to when I get home and can just sleep the day away. But I know how mad at myself I would be to serve for 2 years and not change from it.

Im having a blast. My companion and I finally hit that wall of being nice to each other because no one wants to be that companion that off the bad you don't get along with. So let me set the scene real quick. Were about to start weekly planning and we hadn't talked all morning. So were sitting there about to start, staring each other down. Ill skip the details and 2 hours of complaining, arguing and laughing. We left the apartment. We didn't get any planning done but we've been having a blast since then.

Highlights:

Ned: I already sent this in an email to Keaton so hopefully he doesn't mind :) - Last night we met with this guy named Ned. Haha he was a short fat Jewish guy who wasn't wearing a shirt. He looked like he was wearing a light sweater based on the amount of back and chest hair. But he was like sit down with me, I need to catch you up on me. Then started to tell us how he is a hard drug addict but is trying so hard to get clean. Here is the kicker. The day before he had just relapsed and said he was at such a crucial point but guess who showed up. The Missionaries. Boom! That was SO awesome. My favorite part was that he told us of the time he found out who Christ was. He said hes grown up in a Jewish family so he didnt know much about Christ. But to hear that there was a God who had suffered blew his mind. Which to me is like 'Yeah, Christ died for us' But it was more than that. He finally realized that that was important so that Christ could KNOW us. To truly be able to comfort us because he was felt your exact pain, heartache and dismay. That was one of the best moments of my mission.

We met this couple the other night and the wife told us that she works at a farmers market on Thursdays. She offered to give us Pupusas (That's what she sells at the farmers market). We delightfully accepted the offer (Obvio). They were SO good I had one de Loroco (Its a flower, look it up.) and one de Pollo (Chicken) with this drink made of Barley. It tasted like Hubba Bubba bubble guy. So good. Such good food, such a great woman, Such a great day.

Oh and We were at this Organic grocery store.. thing.... and we bumped into other elders while there. And infront of us one of the other Elders asked an employee if they sold African Black Soap. With a name like that how does that not catch your attention? So naturally I tried some. Its AMAZING. Its a bar soap, it was only $3, works great on the face. Highly recommended.

That that thats all folks. Love yall! Do good this week!
