update from CA 5-25-15

Well First off. A young man we had been visiting Named Isaac Rincon lost the fight with cancer on Mothers day. Our wards' youth wrote messages to Isaac on hearts that we delivered to the family this past week end. Our prayers are out for the family in this time.

This week has been all kinds of crazy. We had transfers, Im now with Elder Strong. He's from Syracuse, Utah. We have had our share our weird experience trying to talk to people. One of the more interesting ones was a girl who I swear looked 14 telling us about how she is a parent. So thats a thing. to top it off her name was "Kookie" with a K. I asked.

We have our iPad training tomorrow. We have reason to believe that we wont be actually receiving them tomorrow. -.-

One short experience from this past week: Last night we were looking for a man named Joey that used to meet with missionaries. We parked on the street because the GPS said that the address we were looking for was right around the corner of where we were parked. We went and knocked the door and a girl answered the door and said "Oh hey Elders". Usually when people greet us like that it comes as a surprise. And for someone who isn't a member to greet us like that is even more rare. So when it came time to ask for Joey they looked at us really strangely ( by this time about 3 family members had came out and greeted us).  Turns out Joey doesnt live there anymore. Well he actually didnt ever live there. we were like an entire block away from the actual address. But the house that we ended up at turns out to be a less active family. The Mother is active and takes us out to eat every few week but I have never seen anyone else in the family. Well the Lord couldnt have been more obvious that we should visit them. He had us knocking on their door without even knowing what we were doing.

Love you all. Keep up the great work!
Elder Wilson
